Giving to LSUHSC
|
It is always the season for thanks and for giving. The LSU Health Sciences Center Foundation is ever grateful for the outpouring of support that the LSU Health Sciences Center has received over the past year. Students and teachers are back in their classrooms and much of the basic infrastructure is back in place on our New Orleans campus. But recovery efforts are far from complete. To date, over $29 million has been spent on temporary repairs that has allowed (or will allow) the upper floors of major buildings to be reoccupied and approximately $50 million of renovation and repair activity is underway at the School of Dentistry. Throughout the health sciences center, FEMA will provide some help to a percentage of the damaged buildings, but there are many items and programs that will not receive any reimbursement. This is where a gift in support of the LSU Health Sciences Center can make a meaningful difference. These gifts support the LSU Health Sciences Center by strengthening and enhancing academic programs and research. Gifts are designated to one of the LSU Health Sciences Center's six schools, nine centers of excellence or where the donor feels it will make the greatest difference at the LSU Health Sciences Center.
